How Does Pricing Work?

Stitch Count Matters

Pricing for your embroidered design or logo is typically based upon stitch count. What this means is that unlike with screen printing adding more colors to your design doesn't cost more. The stitch count of your embroidery determines your price because the higher the stitch count the more thread and time each piece of apparel takes. A general rule of thumb is that the larger the embroidery design the higher the cost to sew it out on your apparel.

For example a left-chest embroidery design may only have 7,000 stitches while as a full-back embroidery design may have 90,000 or more stitches. What this means is that the left-chest design is much more affordable to sew.

What is Digitizing?

Digitizing is the process by which your logo is transformed into a file format design that an embroidery machine can understand and process. The most common embroidery file type is Tajima DST. When pricing your embroidery always ask what if any digitizing fee will be charged. Many times with embroidery orders over a certain dollar amount we offer your design digitizing at no cost to you.
